Círculo de Vida: In the field of cancer, many of the inroads to increasing language-specific psychosocial support in the San Francisco Bay Area can be directly attributed to Círculo de Vida Cancer Support and Resource Center. Founded in 1992, Círculo de Vida is the first successful Spanish-language support group program in the greater Bay Area and has since been a model for groups in five Bay Area cities.


Latina Breast Cancer Agency: Olivia Fe’ founded the Latina Breast Cancer Agency (LBCA) in April 2002 in response to the growing need for breast and cervical cancer education and awareness programs for underserved Latinas living in the San Francisco Bay Area.


Nueva Vida: The mission of Nueva Vida is to inform, support and empower Latino families whose lives are affected by cancer, and to advocate for and facilitate the timely access to state of the art cancer care, including screening, diagnosis, treatment and high-quality care.


The Coalition of Hispanic Women Against Cancer, Inc.: is organized exclusively for educational purposes, more specifically to reduce the cancer disparity among Hispanic and all other minorities in the community through advocacy, education, referral, increasing awareness and access to services in a culturally sensitive way by overcoming barriers.

Cleaning For a Reason: is an organization that will connect women currently undergoing chemotherapy to participating cleaning services in their area to provide FREE housecleaning – one time per month for up to four months – while they are undergoing treatment. All a woman must do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating cleaning service in her area arrange for the service. IPA requires local residence and matches patients to existing clinical programs.
